Artemis Heritage brings a unique set of skills to projects for change in churches: extensive knowledge of ecclesiastical architecture and experience of facilitating learning about and enthusiasm for church buildings. We can help parishes to develop a successful project and to work through the ‘planning’ process to implement change.  Changes can be modest – freeing up space for fellowship, creating a kitchenette and installing facilities – or they can involve substantial re-ordering and/or physical extension of the building in some way.

We have the skills to help with appraising options, developing a Statement of Significance or, in the case of highly significant buildings, a Conservation Management Plan. Building on our knowledge of church buildings, our experience has been gained from training new incumbents and curates about developing projects designed to accomplish mission objectives, as well as workshops for ordinands about commissioning new artworks in churches.
