We have extensive experience of working with local authorities and communities in the preparation of Conservation Area Appraisals. “A conservation area is an area of special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance”. Local planning authorities have a duty to review past designations from time to time to determine if any further parts of their area should be conservation areas.
We have worked with Wokingham Borough Council, Oxford City Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in researching, evaluating and drafting Conservation Area Appraisals. We have experience of working with local community groups to ensure public engagement with the review process.
We have expertise in: research, writing, presentations, digital photography and desktop publishing. We expect to work to tight deadlines and to deliver high quality outputs.
